Muhammad film: Israeli director goes into hiding after protests
In this article it talks about An Israeli film-maker based in California has gone into hiding after his film attacking the prophet Muhammad sparked angry assaults by ultra-conservative Muslims on US missions in Egypt and Libya, claiming the life of one American. It is a political movie two-hour movie about the Innocence of Muslims. It cost $5m (£3.1m) to make and was financed with the help of more than 100 Jewish donors. The full film had been shown once, to a mostly empty cinema in Hollywood, earlier this year. I felt this article was very interesting as it was only shown once to a empty cinema but was able to provoke such a riot. This shows that films can be powerful, exhibited or not and it can be very sensitive to people.
